Acoustic Folk Art 3, Track 10, 03:33
2035
What will the world be like
In twenty thirty five
Will we still be free or even be alive
I don’t know what I will do
Only know I want to spend
Each day I have with you
What will music be like then
I do not know
What kind of tunes
Will play on the radio
Will the president
Still throw out the game ball
Or will she have to hide behind
A missile-proof wall
What will the world be like
In twenty thirty five
Will we still be free or even be alive
I don’t know what I will do
Only know I want to spend
Each day I have with you
Will we all ride starships
Somewhere through the sky
Spend a weekend on the moon
Sometime before I die
Will there be a cure for cancer
Aids or bigotry
Will they find a miracle
To make the blind man see
What will the world be like
In twenty thirty five
Will we still be free or even be alive
I don’t know what I will do
Only know I want to spend
Each day I have with you
Season through season
Your hand with mine
I look at you, everything’s fine
Everything is fine
Times they keep on changing
I know you’ve heard it told
Our values rearranging
If not just outright sold
But people stay the same
At least it seems they do to me
We all need love
We all want security
What will the world be like
In twenty thirty five
Will we still be free or even be alive
I don’t know what I will do
Only know I want to spend
Each day I have with you
What will the world be like

Song Notes
This futuristic song was written in 1992 and had it's twenty-fifth birthday in 2017! The year 2035 doesn't seem that far off now. The interesting thing is this song almost didn't make the Acoustic Folk Art project. I needed another tune to better balance the number of songs on each album and went back and selected this one. Josh did such a great mix and arrangement of instruments on it that it ended up being one of the better tunes from the project.
