AFA Playlists
Picture
The links below will take you to different tune lists in the Acoustic Folk Art series.

This is a great way to test your music IQ.  Pick an instrument - say a flute.  Then click on the AFA Flute Tunes playlist below, select a song and listen carefully for the flute.  Listen to where the flute starts and stops in the song and how the notes flow. Listen to how the flute complements other instruments in the arrangement.  None of this is by accident.  What would you do differently if you were the producer or the musician?

There's no wrong way to listen to music.  Sometimes it's nice to hear a song in the background, but sometimes it's fun to follow an instrument, watching it appear and disappear within and through a song.  It's like audio whale watching.  Another way to think about it is that each instrument is like a dancer in a choreography.  Enjoy the dance.
