One Day My Days

One day my days will end
Life will still go on
One day my days will end
Life will still go on
Shucking corn, babies born
Life will still go on

One day my days will end
It’s ok to cry for me
One day my days will end
It’s ok to cry for me
Just as long as you smile
When you sing along with me

Field flowers, weekend hours
Winter turns to spring
Dogs and cats, baseball hats
These are happy things
Spring fed creeks that always run
With water in their vein
Shucking corn, babies born
Love will still remain

One day my days will end
Life will still go on
One day my days will end
Life will still go on
Shucking corn, babies born
Life will still go on
Song Notes

This little folk song about recognizing our days and days to come was written in late 2015. As it turned out, the fourth album has the two oldest songs in the AFA series (Echoes, Rivers) and also the most recent (One Day My Days).
